Default Newbie EotN Heroes

I realized this weekend, there are several distinct "ages" for heroes.

- Complete newbie, first account, first character, no heroes, minimum unlocked skills, no unlocked elites.

- Time passes, most heroes unlocked, many unlocked skillss, moderate unlocked elites.

- More time passes, implement more specific heroes' builds for specific tasks.

- End (future) state, all heroes unlocked, any/all desirable skills and elites.

The above describes my primary character and his heroes.

I have an Assassin character that was leveled to 20 with the c space, target and shoot. I used level 20 EotN heroes plus MOX to level my assassin. It was moderately slow. My heroes did the majority of the damage, I ran around and collected the loot. I unlocked the first several Nightfall heroes so I could level them when I received xp from quests.

What strategy do you use to add and develop heroes?

Get to level 10, unlocked all the campaigns. Go grab your easily available level 20 heroes from EoTN get Ogden, Vekk, and Gwen; from Factions grab Mox. Unlock a few Nightfall heroes to "level" when receiving xp from quests?

What else helps - prioritize getting necromancer heroes? ritualists heroes?

Someone has to have a plan or strategy for adding and leveling heroes. Your thoughts and comments are appreciated. Thanks.

Level the ones you want to use. I didn't get EOTN or NF for the longest time, I had almost all factions/proph/core skills unlocked by the time I did. And whenever you remember to, add in random <20 heros when you take quest rewards.

just get heroes as you go along, use the ones that u prefer, always swap out to lower lvl henchmen when taking quest rewards to lvl the ones you dont feel like fighting with. after you have done everything and are bored and looking for something to do, go work on getting w/e henchmen u didn't just unlock through regular play.

If you have all campains, the easiest necro hero to get is Olias.
at Kamadan, take a taxi to the docs, get the proper quest (all for one and one for justice ), then go to tyria and pick him up. he will be lvl 16.
